Victorian yellow gold serpent ring, late 19th Century, (probably, originally worked with hair placed within the ring), with chased decoration, size K, unmarked weight approx. 2.9g

More Information

One of the gem eyes is missing. The woven hair running through the ring has deteriorated and is largely disintegrated. There is a slight knock to the serpent's lower jaw. The ring remains quite strong and has no obvious dents. The decoration is worn, however, on the underside.
