A Victorian Scottish novelty silver letter opener in the form of a Scottish court sword, Hamilton & Inches, Edinburgh 1883, with felt lined basket hilt, engraved with the date 1534 on the blade commemorating the Treaty of Perpetual Peace signed that year between England and Scotland, 8¾in. (22.2cm.) long.
