Medieval Figurine. Circa 14th-15th century AD. Copper-alloy, 40mm x 15mm, 11.1g. A gilt-bronze figurine or statuette in the form of a draped female figure wearing long robes. The right hand would have been raised with the left held against her chest. Most likely the representation of a Saint or holy figure. In the work by P Wise, 2010 its suggested that such figurines may be elements of a Processional Cross. See: Glastonbury, British Museum collections: accession number 1853, 0902.1.
