(Early Photography) Seventy three ambrotype photographs Housed in a contemporary album of half green leather with pebbled boards, gilt lettering and decoration to the spine by Walker & Son of Plymouth, 35cm x 28cm, rubbed and bumped to extremities, marbled endpapers, full or half plae views with annotations and some poetry, to rectos only, 1879-1880's. Views include Glasgow Cathedral, Inveraray cross, Berry Head Brixham, Salisbury Cathedral, Denham Bridge on the River Tavy, Lynmouth, Vue Prise de la Wengernalp, Axenstrasse, Murren, Grindelwald, Edinburgh and many more of the Swiss Alps and the Dolomites. A very good example.
