Two blue and white Dutch Delft armorial tiles with the arms of Huyssen and Van Der Nisse, 17th C.

Dim.: 12,5 x 12,5 cm



The tile on the right bears the arms of knight Johan Hieronymus Huyssen, Lord of Oud en Nieuw Vossemeer (1630-1667). Between 1682 and 1703 he was councilor, alderman and mayor of Middelburg.
The tile on the left bears the arms of Cornelia van der Nisse, whom he married in 1657.

Provenance: Probably originally part of the now demolished 'Slot ter Nisse' in Nisse, Zeeland, The Netherlands.
