1713 Queen Anne third bust type gold Guinea, issued after the Acts of Union (S 3574, Farey 560). Obverse: left-facing draped bust with legend around that reads 'ANNA · DEI · GRATIA ·'. Engraved by John Croker after Sir Godfrey Kneller. Reverse: crowned cruciform shields of royal arms with a Garter Star in the centre and sceptres in the angles, two of the shields show the conjoined arms of England and Scotland and the others represent Ireland and France. The legend reads 'MAG BRI · FR ET · HIB REG · 1713', divided by the crowns that cut into the legend. Weight: 8.22g. Diameter: 25.3mm. Grade: F - a metal detecting find with scuffs to the neck and shoulder of the portrait and the hair; otherwise, Fine, reverse better.
