Obverse: Iron Bridge with ship beneath within an inner circle, lamps with single supports, 'IRON BRIDGE AT COALBROOK DALE' around, the date (1792) beneath, 'ERECTED / ANNO 1779. / SPAN 100 FEET.' above the bridge, smaller and better spaced than standard. Reverse: man, right, working a machine, 'INCLINED PLANE / AT KETLEY / 1789' below, the position of the year different to examples listed in Dalton & Hamer. Edge: plain. Weight: 14.90g. Diameter: 30mm. Grade: gEF - good Extremely Fine with attractive colour.
