A pair of Japanese Kutani porcelain vases, Meiji period (1868-1912), each decorated with two panels depicting foraging birds and peacocks, against an orange ground with extensive gilt decoration, of baluster form, signed to the underside, 31cm high, with further smaller Kutani porcelain vase, 22cm high (3)

Each vase shows wear to the exterior which is more excessive in areas resulting in loss of decoration. Gilt wear and surface staining present. No obvious signs of restoration. Marks to the underside rubbed and difficult to decipher. Pitting and and fritting can be seen.
