A Burmese giltwood and jewelled figure of the standing Buddha, probably Mandalay period, 19th century, standing in samabhanga on a lotus pedestal, with hands outstretched, his youthful face with a serene expression, painted eyes and elongated earlobes, coloured glass jewels set into the tiara and robe borders, 42in.
