PROVENANCE: Herbert W. Fisher (1826-1903), thence by descent. The family of Herbert W. Fisher provided inspiration for some of Julia Margaret Cameron's most iconic images. Fisher was married to the photographer's niece, Mary Louisa Jackson (1841-1915), daughter of John Jackson (1804-1887) and Maria T. A. Pattle (1818-1892), Cameron's sister. The daughter and sister of Mary Louisa Jackson, Florence H. Fisher (1864-1920) and Julia Jackson (1845-1895) respectively, were both favourite subjects for the photographer. *Condition Report Faded, ink inscription lower right, traces of old adhesive on mount, surface of print with occasional splash marks. **BP 22.5% (inc.
