A LATE 17TH CENTURY EBONISED DOUBLE BASKET TOP EIGHT-DAY VERGE BRACKET CLOCK the pierced double basket with leaf cast folding handle above pressed brass panelled hinged door and raised on bun feet. The 8" square brass dial with mask head spandrels and silvered chapter ring engraved with Roman numerals and outer minute markers enclosing a matted centre with ringed winding holes, date aperture and mock pendulum aperture fronting a fully engraved eight-day movement with finned pillars and verge escapement striking the hours on a bell.
