1840 (Jan 7) Small Post Office Notice, "On and after the 10th January a letter not exceeding half an ounce in weight, may be sent from any part of the United Kingdom, to any other part, for One Penny, if paid when posted, or Twopence if paid when delivered", giving the scale of rates for inland letters, and brief details for Colonial and Foreign letters. Light folds, two peripheral repairs (both virtually clear of all wording), the margins a little trimmed, still a good example of this important, rare and desirable Post Office Notice, 138x205mm.
