"A Wa(l)ter Rat", with a Secondary Head of a Man, Watercolour, Pencil and Ink, Inscribed "Maidenhead, Wokingham, Reading, Abingdon, Faringdon, East Ilsley, Newbury", and Inscribed; -either John Walter (1776-1847) or his son John Walter (1818-1874). Both were Proprietors of "The Times" also MPs for Berkshire, on the reverse, Unframed 5.25" x 7" (13.3 x 17.8cm)
