The Edinburgh based Australian, Clem Mitchell built frames for top riders in the immediate post war period demand outstripped supply and soon Martin's took over the manufacturing and marketed them as Martin/Mitchell's. Jack Young (the only rider to win a world final when still with a second division club) reputedly used this machine during 1953-1955
