Scarce 1822 Pattern George IV/William IV Infantry Officer's Sword


32 1/4 inch, single edged, quill point, pipe back blade.  Blade with faint laurel spray cypher and crown etching.  One side with faint London maker's details.  Brass, Gothic pattern guard with crowned cypher GRIV/WRIV cartouche.  Folding rear section of guard.  Brass, stylised floral decorated pommel and backstrap.  Shagreen covered grip with twist wire binding.  Contained in its steel scabbard with two loose hanging rings.
