A GOOD QUALITY 19TH CENTURY ROSEWOOD ‘DAVENPORT’ DESK, with low rise gallery edges to the top and a slanted leather inset writing slope which lifts to reveal drawers and storage within, to the right is a hidden ink and pen drawer which is above a side panel door that opens to reveal drawers within; the drawers with great pierced scroll openwork fronts, the slope is supported with a pair of scrolling carved uprights that sit upon the raised base. With carved paws to the front and bun feet to the back. Condition; in overall good strong structural condition, there is some ware and a few nicks/loss to edges/veneers – would be commensurate with age and general use. Dimensions: 83 x 53 x 59cm (H x W x D).
