A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY TRIO TO THE SCOTS GUARD. A Great War Trio comprising 1914-15 Star named to 9697 Pte W.H. Glover S. Gds. War Medal and Victory Medal similarly named. William Henry Glover from Bow was the son of Ann Glover of 4 Chandler Avenue, Beckton Road, Canning Town and the late William Henry Glover, he served with the 2nd Battalion, he entered France on the 17th February 1915, he was killed in action on the 22nd April 1915 and is buried at the Rue Du Bois Cemetery Lesboeufs, his headstone reads 'His spirit has flown to peace and rest and holy joy' he was 20 years old. *CR Lacking ribbons, slight wear and marks to surfaces.
