An impressive model of HMS Victory. With fully detailed rigging but with no sails, 3 decks with canon on the top deck to both port and starboard, shield with crown to bow, 4 longboats, with very detailed decking etc. Length over bowsprit 107cm. Height over main mast 84cm Displayed on a wooden plinth, with a brass plaque, 'H.M.S. VICTORY Flagship of Admiral Lord Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar 21st October 1805. Built by B. Wyver -Falmouth'. VGC Together with a small 1.5cm medallion struck for the B.F.S.S (British & Foreign School Society) for the Nelson Centenary. Containing Victory Copper taken from the hull sheeting, with a picture of the ship (dated 1905) on one side and an inscription on the other. £100-150
