MESOSIDERITE, STONY-IRON METEORITE.
Found in the Sahara Desert Morocco, this rare type of stony-iron meteorite makes up only 0.5% of all meteorites ever discovered. Mesosiderites are thought likely to have come from the asteroid 4 Vesta. With an extremely high nickel iron content they are regarded as some of the most beautiful meteorites and this stunning piece is no exception. (114g, h 4.7cm x w 4.2cm x d 3.5cm)
