Attributed to Clarkson Stanfield (British school, 1793-1867) - a 19th century Victorian watercolour painting study, titled to frame Mother & Child. The study unfinished, appearing unsigned (signature possibly behind mount), depicting a seated mother and young boy looking down. With provenance also written to verso, Bought Sotheby's 7 May 1958. Framed, mounted and glazed. Measures approx. 35cm x 31cm including frame.
