KGV & KGVI CORONATIONS - INVITATION CARDS: Invitation cards (both with original envelopes) to the Coronations of George V (22 June 1911) and George VI (12 May 1937). The 1911 card (34cm x 29cm) sent to Prince Dolgozouki; the cover (toned on back) signed "Norfolk, Earl Marshall" and annotated 'sent by Queen Alexandra' in same handwriting as the address, postmarked 17 Jun. 1911 and redirected to Taplow. The 1937 card (27cm x 22cm) sent to R.G. Whiskard; cover is struck with the cachet of the Earl Marshall's office in purple, accompanied by an admission ticket to Westminster Abbey, signed "Norfolk, Earl Marshall" and a letter on headed stationery giving further instructions. Excellent condition. Invitation cards with their original envelopes are scarce, particularly so for the 1911 bash.
