§ AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY CHINESE SILVER THREE-PIECE TEA SERVICE

mark of Zee Wo, c.1910, comprising a teapot, a milk jug, and a covered twin-handled sugar bowl, each piece is of compressed circular form, with the teapot featuring a curved spout modelled as bamboo, opposite a bamboo C-scroll handle fitted with ivory insulators pinned to sockets, the hinged domed lid is surmounted by a detachable bamboo-modelled finial with an ivory insulator, the bodies are embossed with a trailing Chinese dragon, with applied wirework whiskers and a vacant circular cartouche in the centre, forming the pearl of wisdom, all against a matted ground, the lids are flat chased with bamboo, each piece is marked ZEEWO and with artisan mark.
