A THIRTY NINE PIECE NINETEENTH CENTURY 'OPAQUE CHINA' DINNER SERVICE, possibly by John and William Ridgway, pattern number 1092, hand painted with a blue basket of pink and purple flowers, comprising three meat plates (one chipped, one with old repair, largest with meat draining section is missing most of one foot), a large covered soup tureen (chips inside cover), two under plates for tureens (one cracked, the other has a star hairline and a large loss to foot rim), a covered serving dish (cover may not be original, base and cover have losses, cracks and old repair), a serving dish (missing cover, cracked), a spare cover (crack, old repair to finial with some loss), a round serving bowl (extensive crack, old repair to handle), two small soup tureens (one missing cover, existing cover has an old repair), thirteen dinner plates (seven cracked, six chipped, some having both chips and cracks, two or three appear undamaged), five side plates (two with old repairs/losses, two with cracks), five large bowls (two cracked, one with old repair and repainting) and four smaller bowls (two cracked and chipped) (39) (Condition Report: obvious specific damage as stated, wear and damage commensurate with age, some crazing, staining, glaze loss and wear, signs of moderate use, would benefit from a clean)
