CHARLES DIXON (1872-1934) THE ENTRANCE TO PORTSMOUTH HARBOUR Signed, inscribed with title, watercolour with pen and ink over traces of pencil 36.5 x 53.5cm. * * The vessel in the left background is actually HMS St. Vincent; a massive 3-decker mounting 120 guns launched in 1815. She became a boys' training ship in 1862 and was finally broken up in 1906. ++ Slightly pale in the sky
