All pieces show rubbing to the gilt highlights throughout. All pieces show fine surface scratching commensurate with age and use, including cutlery marks to some degree. A cup shows a firing pit, and a few other pieces show some minor imperfections in the moulding of the base. Four dinner plates are marked as seconds.
