Alfred, Lord Tennyson, albumen print, inscribed on the mount by the photographer, 'From life, original photograph copyright Julia Margaret Cameron, June 3rd 1869', the mount with the blindstamp of Mess. Colnagni, lower centre, 239mm x 304mm. PROVENANCE: Herbert W. Fisher (1826-1903), thence by descent. The family of Herbert W. Fisher provided inspiration for some of Julia Margaret Cameron's most iconic images. Fisher was married to the photographer's niece, Mary Louisa Jackson (1841-1915), daughter of John Jackson (1804-1887) and Maria T. A. Pattle (1818-1892), Cameron's sister. The daughter and sister of Mary Louisa Jackson, Florence H. Fisher (1864-1920) and Julia Jackson (1845-1895) respectively, were both favourite subjects for the photographer. *Condition Report Minor surface marks, small dent to print towards right hand edge. **BP 22.5% (inc.
