A George III pewter spire flagon, dated 1769
Having a domed lid with pagoda-type knop, a tear-drop pierced chairback thumbpiece, and drape-and drop style handle with hooded ball terminal, the tapering straight-sided drum with a high fillet and skirt footrim, and engraved FOR THE CONGREGATION OF FALLSTONE 1769, hallmarks to rim of TC (M15013), 69 fl.oz., height 34cm

The hallmarks found on this flagon were used for over a hundred years by various makers. Given the date of the flagon (made prior, although possibly near, 1769) William Charsley (fl.1729-1770), (PS1623) is a likely maker, although Edmund Grove (fl.1753-1777), (PS4116) and Richard Pawson I (fl.1752-1787), (PS7158) should also be considered
