A PAIR OF CHINESE PORCELAIN BOWLS WITH ANOTHER BOWL AND COVER, EARLY 20TH CENTURY REPUBLIC PERIOD. Pair of bowls enamel decorated with dragons and phoenix, with painted six character mark of Qianlong to base; Together with a sgraffiato ruby ground famille rose floral decorated bowl and cover with four character mark of Qianlong. 14.3cm and 16cm diam. (3)

Pair of bowls with minute nicks to rim and foot with no signs of cracks and no repairs. Ruby bowl with 5cm hairline and chip to rim, the cover in good condition. Provenance: Property of Dennis Young, son to Sir Mark Aitchison Young GCMG (1886-1974) who served as Governor of Hong Kong between 1941 and 1947, thence by descent.
