£190
A George III Irish silver waiter, possibly by Thomas Townsend, of circular form with scalloped border raised on three paw feet, with later decorative engraving and crest to centre, 15.6cm diameter, weight 6.51ozt
Overall condition is good. Moderate to heavy denting to centre, sides, reverse and feet. Some knocks and small dents to the highpoints of the cast border. No large denting or splitting. There is quite heavy wear to the original decoration. The casted rim and the paw feet have lost definition. The marks to reverse are very heavily worn, and there is a crest to the reverse which has been very heavily polished and is only visible under reflected light (see additional images provided). Decoration to centre is crisp and clear.
