A Chinese gilt and polychrome lacquered stucco work and wood figure of Manjushri on a lion, Yuan-Ming dynasty, the bodhisattva seated on a lion holding his right hand aloft, the lion standing four square, wood stand, 56.5cm high, restoration.
Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom, is known in China as Wenshu.
