Militaria: A Royal Naval officer's gold braided bicorn hat, epaulettes and belt in original Gieves painted tin box, named to Lt Commander Roger Wake.


Roger Wake was designated trainer for the newly formed Commando brigade in the early 1940s. Their recruits included volunteers from the Royal Marines, and at his funeral in 1988 a contingent of former Commandos turned up to pay their last respects.
