Darren Yeadon was born in 1970 and brought up in Whitby by the sea. Yeadon began his work as a quarry-man and stonemason, here learning how to extract materials from the earth, then to split huge pieces up, shape them and carve stones to fit its arches, church windows and architectural applications. He developed a real flair for geology and interest in carving stone and three-dimensional forms. His works has been actively sought after in auctions due to his popularity.
