ESO S45 speedway bike. 1956. With leading link forks. DT5 Model that housed The Eso S45 motor, a 500cc OHV developing 48.6BHP. Machine is almost 100% original. Engine is an original S45 recognised by having only 4 stiffening ribs, later engines had 6. Whilst this 1955 Eso was built for speedway, it was also used for longtracking, hence it has a foot operated 2 spd gearbox. Another interesting feature is the leading link forks which Eso used 35 years before they became standard on modern bikes. This S45 bike was previously owned and ridden by Antonin Casper.
