Spanish oak and walnut coffer, 19th Century, hinged top over a front with ripple moulded geometric panels bordered with ebonised moulded reserves, raised on carved feet, iron carrying handles, branded to the side with the mark of a key, width 137cm, depth 60cm, height 73cm
The top is well patinated, with ink marks and aged scratches and abrasions. Both the lock and the catch are later, but still old. Inside, the candle box is missing and the base boards are replaced. The back looks very good. Original handles. Nicely patinated and coloured front with no major issues. A pleasing looking coffer.
