£130
A Victorian silver cased boudoir timepiece, the circular white dial with Roman numerals, 30mm diameter, set to a shaped silver case with floral and scroll embossed detail on raised feet, marks for Rosenthal, Jacob & Co, London 1888, 7.5cm high, complete in fitted leather case (at fault)
This timepiece comes with associated key, however it does not tick when wound, and does not appear to be functioning. The dial does not show any cracks, chips or losses. The minute hand and stud and glazing may be a later replacement. There are no cracks chips or losses in the glazing. The glazing is loose in it's setting. There is moderate denting, scratching and wear throughout the case commensurate with age and use, and thinning to some of the highpoints, however there does not appear to be any obvious thinning or repair to the case. There is some gapping between the case/feet and base. Door opens smoothly and lock mechanism is in working order, however there are some slight gaps around the door. The travelling case shows extensive wear and tear throughout, and the lining to the inside of the cover has become detached.
