An early 19c Italian walnut cassone of large proportion with geometric panels and a central castle tower carved crest within a scroll and leaf border. The lobed carved base angel caryatids and bold carved paw feet. Enclosed by a hinged panelled lid within a gadroon border, 180cm w, 63cm h.
