An 1851 Model Colt Navy, cased, matching serial numbers throughout (25511), in original oak case. in .36 calibre, original engraving of naval scenes on chambers, with powder flask, bullet mould and assorted balls. Barrel filled and chamber separaters removed to deactivate. In outstanding condition for age.
It is an antique black powder muzzle loader manufactured in 1853 and therefore an exempt weapon under the terms of Section 58(2) of the Firearms Act 1968 as amended when sold, transferred, purchased, acquired or possessed as a curio or an ornaments.
It also has at some stage had the barrel filled and the chambers cut away to ensure it is not useable.
