A FIRST WORLD WAR GERMAN M.17 CAMOUFLAGED STEEL HELMET. A Great War steel trench helmet painted with a camouflage pattern of black lines dividing segments of dark green, yellow, ochre and dark brown. With apparently original brown leather liner with three pads, indistinctly stamped, possibly S166. 31.5cm front to back, 23.5cm wide and 17cm high. *CR Some marking and wear to exterior surfaces and liner.
