WWI Medal Pair to Scottish soldier Corporal Charles Comfort 42331 Highland Light Infantry. Killed in Action France 25th November 1917. Medal pair in original boxes with envelope to his mother in Fraserburgh. Also includes a nice matching named memorial card. Charles is buried in Passchendaele New British Cemetery CWGC Cemetery/Memorial West-Vlaanderen Belgium. Given the dates it seems Charles may have either succumbed to wounds following Third Ypres or befell some other tragedy having survived the battle. As always with these groups this is a lovely poignant memory of a lad of 21 years. .
