A set of plans, GWR Wilts, Somerset and Weymouth Railway, Devizes Branch, Survey 1878, Engineers Copy. A single volume in a leather slipcase, each with gilt title, 9"x12". The line is shown from Holt Junction (north west of Bradford-on-Avon) to Devizes and includes intermediate stations, Wilts and Berks Canal, Junction of Seend Iron Works Branch and details of land acquisitions and disposals. The plans are hand-coloured and highly detailed, scale 2ch=1", even showing signal posts, often referred to as terrier maps. Excellent condition other than wear at the base and edge of the slip case.
