A GEORGE JONES PATE SUR PATE PLAQUE BY FREDERICK SCHENCK
CIRCA 1880
Decorated in white over a brown ground, a semi-clad maiden in a swing over a lilly pond, signed 'SCHENCK' to left, impressed mark and pattern number '499(9)?' in gilt to verso. 25cms wide.
There is a small glaze chip in the 4-5 o'clock position on the rim and some very light surface scratching.
