An example of the helmet bearing brass post 1902 regimental pattern helmet plate to the front. Complete with brass cross piece and ball top, side rose bosses and chinchain. Two men of the RFA served with this number however 77055 Corporal Arthur Stenning is noted as landing in France with the BEF on the 19th August 1914, indicating a pre war regular.
