These rare and stunningly beautiful hand-coloured prints are from 'Birds of the British Islands' 1st edition 1906-11 by Charles Stonham C.M.G., F.R.C.S., F.Z.S and illustrated by Lilian M. Medland. Published by E. Grant Richards, 7 Carlton Street, S.W. London.

Photo Gravures are photographs etched into copper and printed traditionally with ink. Their rich deep shadows, delicate half tones, and luminous highlights make photo gravures some of the most beautiful and tactile images ever printed.

Size: 12in x 9.5in (30.5cm x 24cm) .
