A PAIR OF LATE 19TH CENTURY CONTINENTAL GLASS JARS OF CONICAL FORM, ONE WITH A COVER, the domed cover with gilt finial, raised gilt scroll border, the jars with a blue and gilt rim above an enamelled figure of a cavalier within an asymmetric gilt surround, one holding a flag over his shoulder, the other with sword pointed downwards, on a domed foot with raised gilt border and gilt foot rim, height including cover 37cm and without cover 26.5cm (2) (Condition report: the jar with the cavalier holding the sword has a glued repair to a section at the rear of the foot with a small section missing at the rim, small shallow chip to the inside of the cover, otherwise wear to the gilding)
