A late 18th century oak and mahogany crossbanded longcase clock case with an early 20th century clock movement by the Enfield Clock Co. Ltd, London; outset cornice above a foliate carved blind fret frieze and 12 in. brass dial with silvered chapter ring having Roman numerals, slow/fast lever at the the 9 o'clock position and Whittington/Westminster chimes lever at the 3 o'clock position, the movement striking on nine gongs and the silvered chapter ring cornered by pierced spandrels headed with masks, the movement flanked by columns above a shaped crossbanded trunk door, further flanked by quadrant pilasters, raised on short bracket feet (the cornice 59.5 x 31.5 cm; total height 206.5 cm)
