EPIRUS, NORTHERN EPIRUS & SASENO, 1914-1941: Large binder with an attractive and informative presentation on display pages. Collection includes 1914 (Feb. & Mar.) Epirus Provisional Govt. issues of Chimara & Argyrocastro plus 1914 (Aug.) opts. on issues of Greece SG 31/38 (SG £400) though not guaranteed (see footnote in SG catalogue). Also, 1914 (Oct.) King Constantine used issues to 25l, plus various privately produced (Moschopolis) of fantasy issues; range of 1914-15 mint or used issues for Northern Epirus, stamps of Greece optd. either horizontally (SG 59/69) or vertically (SG 70/85). Collection continues with Greek Occupation issues 1940-41 inc. 5 complete mint sets SG 1/45 (c.£280) and 1941 (Mar.) set of 10 on 12 Mar. 1941 cover cancelled at Gjirokaster.
