1840 (May 29) 1d Mulready lettersheet used from Basingstoke to London, a second 1d postage paid in cash with a fine red "1" on the front, unusually without any cancellation on "Britannia", Basingstoke and London backstamps. A little worn with two small edge tears, splitting to part of lower fold and recipients note on front, nevertheless very unusual and scarce. Photo on Page 100.
