A 55 bore cannon barrelled flintlock boxlock pocket pistol, by Murdoch, c 1780, 8" overall, turn off barrel 2¾", numbered "3" on barrel and breech, with early Birmingham proofs; engraved frame signed in scroll; with frizzen spring in the top of the breech, sliding trigger guard safety, and plain walnut butt.
