An 1880’s silk gown, a biscuit shade with stripes, bustle back, fitted bodice lined in cream glazed cotton, the front trimmed in black velvet ribbon and machine lace, long sleeves finished in a different black machine lace, covered velvet buttons to the skirt (fastened with press-studs), the skirt lined in a cream gauze, the train section gathered at the sides to form a rounded end

Underarms stained inside but exterior appears sound and clean. Some light soiling to the hem, some holes to the inner gauze near the hem, but generally the gown is strong.
