Some strong street views feature in this collection of approximately 95 standard size postcards by R Johnston and Son/ the Monarch Series which are numbered between 4,017 and 4,994. One of these cards is said to features the photographer Mr Johnston himself, with his car (see 1st photo). Others include Consett Iron Works, college views of Durham and several of Alnmouth. Most of the cards are in good condition – but some have faults, usually minor such as corner nicks and minor creases. The 2nd photo shows another random dozen cards.
